United States House of Representatives:
Immigration Reform
The U.S. The House of Representatives continues to show division regarding immigration policies due to the country facing ongoing disputes about border protection and economic possibilities and human rights obligations. The House members support two different approaches to immigration policy which include border security measures and immigration pathways to citizenship and protection of asylum seekers and economic benefits from immigrant labor. The House of Representatives faces challenges in creating immigration policies that protect borders and maintain America's immigrant heritage because of its task to develop immigration laws that defend national borders while preserving America's status as a country that welcomes immigrants.
