Dear Delegates,

My name is Patrick Yurcisin. I, along with Aneel Pitchumoni, have the pleasure of serving as your Secretary-General of this conference. On behalf of the Secretariat of Christian Brothers Academy’s 14th Annual Colts Model United Nations Conference, I would like to formally welcome you to this year’s conference.

Over the last year, we have been working on a range of committees which take place in historical situations, the modern day, and fictional worlds. Through this experience we hope to provide an event where you can expand your interests, learn more about diplomacy and compromise, and have some fun.

This year is also historic for CBA Model UN in another way: it will be our largest conference and endeavor to date. We are proud to welcome middle school students from several new schools across New Jersey.

We are so excited to see what you can accomplish this year at the conference. We hope that whether this is your first conference, or if you’re a more experienced delegate, you enjoy this conference and are able to learn more. Thank you for participating in ColtsMUN XIV, and good luck on your research.

My name is Aneel Pitchumoni. I, along with Patrick Yurcisin, have the honor of serving as your Secretary-General for this year’s conference. On behalf of the Secretariat and the entire team behind the production of Christian Brothers Academy’s 14th Annual Colts Model United Nations Conference (ColtsMUN XIV), I would like to welcome you all to this year’s conference. 

Last year’s conference was the largest and most successful conference in the program’s history. With that success came a transition to a new generation of chairs, directors, and Secretariat members. Over the past year, our team has put countless hours into building a conference that we hope will challenge you, surprise you, and leave you thinking long after the final gavel. 

In our second year under the Colts Model United Nations name, we are proud to bring you ten new and unique committees, ranging from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the NFL to the New Jersey Senate and the World Bank. While each committee offers a different setting, they all share one fundamental foundation that is comprised of collaboration and diplomacy.

As you enter committee, do not be afraid to take a risk or rethink your assumptions. Do not measure your conference solely by the award you hope to receive. Instead, leave ColtsMUN XIV having learned something you did not know, considered something you had not considered, or seen an issue from a perspective you had not understood before.

Welcome to ColtsMUN XIV. We cannot wait to see what you do with this opportunity.

Why COLTS MUN XIII?

At ColtsMUNXIII, we aim to create an experience for leaders to stand up and for the passion of delegates to shine brightest. With ten committees and a record number of delegates, there are countless ways to make your mark and earn real, relevant debating experience as you navigate issues that currently affect our world. Additionally, ColtsMUNXIII offers a unique opportunity for middle schoolers found nowhere else, providing delegates with superior Model U.N. and public speaking skills even before high school. Overall, ColtsMUN seeks to make all delegates more confident in being leaders and aspires to highlight the everlasting importance of diplomacy.
